Meet Dr. Hashemi

Dr. Hashemi is board certified both in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is licensed by the California Medical Board to practice medicine and psychiatry in the state of California.

Dr. Hashemi completed her training in general adult psychiatry at Stanford University where she also went on to pursue a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. While she was born and raised in the Midwest, she spent time on the East Coast and Canada before settling in the Bay Area. Dr. Hashemi attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, went on to complete her medical degree at George Washington University and  a Master of Public Health from Harvard University.

Dr. Hashemi has a broad range of experiences in treating adults, children and adolescents of diverse backgrounds with complex issues including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, eating disorders and autism spectrum disorders.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hashemi is also medical director of the El Camino Hospital ASPIRE program (After School Program Interventions and Resiliency Education) and Transitional Age Youth programs (18-24 year olds), intensive outpatient programs in Mountain View and Los Gatos, California. In her Los Altos office, Dr. Hashemi employs an integrative and customized approach to treatment, providing both psychotherapy and medication management when indicated. She is also fluent in Farsi, proficient in Spanish, and enjoys working with multicultural families.
